The successful practice of Japanese swordsmanship requires a special approach to breathing, mind and body.
This course offers an introduction to Kurikara Ryu Tanren (鍛錬) (forging), that blends traditional flowing movements aligned with the internal power of martial arts, to promote the coordination of movement through the tanden (body centre) and the cultivation of Zanshin (mental stability).
Please note we will not be practicing with the sword, this course is all about Tanren foundation!
